<br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting, September 22, 1986 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council advise the City of Shoreview of <br />the intent to participate with them in a joint Fire Station along the Lexington <br />Avenue corridor. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sather, Peck and Hicks suggested continuing to explore the <br />possibility of a centrally location fire station in the future. <br /> <br />Request for Ordinance Revision re Noxious Weeds <br />Council was referred to letter of September 17, 1986, from a resident of Arden <br />Hills regarding the weed situation. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council consensus was to try an informal method of contacting <br />offenders who reside near developed lots and ask them to eradicate weeds and <br />mow. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that Council instruct Public Works Supervisor to <br />maintain a list of unmowed, unsightly lots within 100 ft, of developed <br />properties and send a letter to the owners of such lots requesting them'to mow <br />and remove weeds at least twice a year. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Sather suggested the Council review the progress of this program in the Fall of <br />1987 to reevaluate and determine if it is working. <br /> <br />Other Business <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Resolution 86-54; ApprovinK AKreement with Ramsey County for Law Enforcement <br />Services for 1987, <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve Resolution No, 86-54, <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />FOR 1987. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Sather to approve Claims and Payroll as submitted. <br />Motion carried unanimously, (5-0) <br /> <br />Status Report - Clerk Administrator Applications <br />Mayor Woodburn advised 50 applications or more had been received. He suggested <br />approximately 6 to 10 be interviewed. <br /> <br />After discussion; Councilmembers decided they each would review all <br />applications, score those qualified for interviewing with one point, then staff <br />would compile the points from each Councilmember to determine applicants to be <br />interviewed. <br /> <br />Councilmembers requested a job description, employment advertisement or memo <br />from the Clerk Administrator be forwarded to each of them to be used as a guide <br />for determining qualified applicants. <br /> <br />Ad;ournment <br />Hansen moved, secQnded by Peck, that the meeting adjourn at 11:45 p.m. Motion . <br />carried unanimously.
