Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Municipal Amicus ProRram - LeaRue of Minnesota Cities <br />Couneil discussed the Municipal Amicus Program and its potential benefit <br />to Arden Hills. It was noted that the $328 cost (10% of annual dues) <br />is not budgeted. <br /> <br />Action was deferred, pending the City Attorney's opinion and comments <br />from neighboring municipalities. <br /> <br />(McNiesh to report findings to Council.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> <br />(Absent - Report by McNiesh) <br /> <br />1/15/86 - $182,166.43 at First Federal at 7,65% interest. to mature <br />2/14/86. <br />1/15/86 - $182,021,32 at Twin City Federal at 8.10% interest, to mature <br />7/14/86. <br /> <br />Sather moved to ratify the Treasurer's investments as reported. Motion <br />was seconded by Peck and carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Report of Public Safety/Works Committee MeetinR <br />Council was referred to minutes of the January 15 Public Safety/Works <br />Committee Meeting. Hansen reported that it appears the combined, larger <br />committee can effectively blend the functions of Safety and Public Works, <br />Hansen briefly reviewed the meeting agenda items and reported that the <br />committee members toured the Public Works building and reviewed equipm~nt <br />after the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Report of Finance Committee MeetinR <br />Council was referred to the minutes of the January 23 Finance Committe~ <br />Meeting. Peek reported that the committee discussed: <br />1. Escalated insurance premiums; will be making its recommendations <br />to Council. <br />2. Council salaries; a subcommittee was appointed; recommendations <br />will be forthcoming. <br />3. Financing of 1986 projects; will provide input to Council, <br /> <br />Donation - Johanna Shores <br />Hicks accepted, on behalf of the Council, a $625.00 donation to Arden <br />Hills from Johanna Shores for police and fire protection in 1985. <br /> <br />McNiesh was requested to extend Council's appreciation to Johanna Shores. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />RCLLG LeRislative Committee <br />Peck reported that he cannot serve on the legislative committee because <br />of a time conflict. <br /> <br />Proposed Time ChanRe for Council MeetinRs <br />Peck asked Council to consider starting Council meetings at 7:00p.m. <br />instead of 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />February PlanninR Commission MeetinR <br />Hicks to be absent, Hansen will attend the February 5 Planning Commission <br />meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Typewriter Purchase <br />Council was referred to <br />typewriter replacement. <br /> <br />McNiesh's memo (1/24/86) relative to proposed <br />McNiesh recommended the purchase of a Wheelwriter 5 <br />
