<br />.... <br /> <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Thursday, January 2, 1986. 6:00 P.M. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to <br />order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmembers Nancy Hansen, Dale Hicks, <br />Gary Peck, Thomas Sather <br />None <br />Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Oaths of Office <br />Mayor Woodburn administered the Oath of Office to Clerk Administrator Charlotte <br />McNiesh. <br /> <br />1986 VillaRe Appointments <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, to approve 1986 Village appointments as <br />attached. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None <br /> <br />Resolutions <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck. approval of Resolution No. 86-1, DESIGNATION <br />OF DEPOSITORIES AND CORPORATE AUTHORIZATION RESOLUTION, Resolution No. 86-2, <br />DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL DEPOSITORIES FOR INVESTMENT PURPOSES. Resolution <br />No. 86-3, RESOLUTION DESIGNATING BROKERAGE FIRMS FOR INVESTMENT IN FEDERAL <br />GOVERNMENT INSTRUMENTS, and Resolution No. 86-4, RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER OF <br />FUNDS BY TELEPHONIC INSTRUCTIONS. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />1986 Committee Appointments <br />Motion was made by Hansen, seconded by Peck, that Council approve 1986 com- <br />mittee appointments as attached. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />The Public Safety/Works Committee will hold its first 1986 meeting on Wednesday, <br />January 15. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />No Parking SiRns <br />McNiesh referred Council to a request from John W. Matteson, 1249 Tiller Lane, <br />for temporary "No Parking" signs at the end of De11wood (entrance to <br />Crepeau Nature Preserve). He also requested, as a permanent solution to <br />the problem he has of park users blocking his driveway, that the posts be <br />moved further into the park and a turn-around created. Council concurred that, <br />as a temporary measure, "No Pa'rking" signs be placed at the end of Dellwood <br />to resolve the parking problem, and that in the spring, the posts at the <br />entrance to Crepeau Nature Preserve be moved back to allow for some parking <br />and a turn-around. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that claims and payroll be approved as sub- <br />mitted. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br />Ad i ourrunent: <br />Motion was made by Hicks, seconded by Hansen, that the meeting be adjourned <br />at 6:35 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
