Motion was seconded by Peck <br /> and carried unanimously. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Cable Equipment <br /> Sather suggested that Council re-think purchase of camera equipment" to assure <br /> the televising of meetings. <br /> . Arden Oaks Park <br /> Peck reported receipt of several complaints from residents near Arden Oaks <br /> Park; complaint is that dogs are littering the park and dog owners are not <br /> cleaning up after the dogs. <br /> Council concurred that a notice be placed in the Town Crier advising dog <br /> owners that they are required to pick up after their dogs. (City Parks Depart- <br /> ment to be advised of the need for clean-up, plus patrol of the park to stop <br /> this abuse of park property.) <br /> RCLLG Meetiml <br /> Hansen reported that she will not be able to attend the November 14 afternoon <br /> meeting of RCLLG (2:00 - 4:00 p.m.) re Solid Waste; reported that Ramsey <br /> County haulers will start trucking to the NSP plant in Newport in'November; <br /> explained that Hennepin will truck to the New Brighton plant; feels the <br /> northern suburbs should be allowed to use landfills for a certain period of <br /> time and allowed the alternative of using the New Brighton plant; reported <br /> that the New Brighton plant has a permit for the plant - will burn at 18000 F <br /> in a self-contained building; wet ashes will be trucked out; steam will be <br /> sold to industrial plants nearby. Hansen noted there will be an increase in <br /> traffic on Old Highway 8 in New Brighton. Hansen suggested Council input to <br /> influence a hold for six months for the northern suburbs; noted the <br /> cost of trucking to Newport will probably increase garbage haulers' fees and, <br /> in addition, Ramsey County will add a levy to property taxes. <br /> Woodburn reported that he had sent a letter to New Brighton's Mayor expressing <br /> our concerns re environmental impact on Arden Hills of proposed burning <br /> plant. <br /> Hansen noted the RCLLG will meet at the Arden Hills Village Hal~ on November <br /> 20. <br /> Annual Plannin~ Institute <br /> Hicks reported that a few Plannfng Commission members attended the Institute <br /> a few years ago; registration fee is $40.00; suggested that Council <br /> authorize payment of the registration fee for Planning Commission members <br /> desiring to attend. Council concurred. <br /> REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> Claims and Payroll <br /> Sather moved, seconded by Hansen, that the Claims and Payroll be approved . <br /> . as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.
