<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, June 24, 1985 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to <br />order' at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmembers Thomas Sather, Gary <br />Peck, Dale Hicks <br />Councilmember Nancy Hansen <br />Attorney James Lynden, Treasurer Donald Lamb, Public Works <br />Supervisor Robert Raddatz, Clerk Administrator Charlotte <br />McNiesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Peck moved, seconded by Sather, that the minutes of the June 10 Council <br />meeting be approved as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />Northpark Business Center Park Dedication Report <br />Hicks requested that the Northpark Business Center Park Dedication Report <br />be added to the agenda as item 13A. Council concurred. <br /> <br />Presentation of Certificate of Nomination for C. C. Ludwig Award to <br />Charlotte McNiesh <br />Donna Reynolds, President of the Arden Hil1s/Shoreview League of Women <br />Voters, accompanied by League members Gloria Kuehn, Lillian Michael and Mary <br />Trisko, presented Charlotte McNiesh with a framed Certificate of Nomination <br />for the C. C. Ludwig Distinguished Service Award, for conducting her duties <br />as Clerk Administrator with extraordinarily high competence and commitment, <br />and presented her with letters from her colleagues and co-workers in sup- <br />port of her nomination. <br /> <br />Mayor Woodburn read his letter in support of her nomination, recalling <br />Charlotte's many attributes which contribute to the effectiveness of local <br />government. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 85-25 - Congratulating John Uram for Attaining Rank of <br />Eagle Scout <br />Mayor Woodburn read Resolution No. 85-25 aloud. Hicks moved, seconded by <br />Peck, that Council adopt Resolution No. 85-25, CONGRATULATING JOHN URAM FOR <br />ATTAINING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Woodburn presented the resolution to Uram and thanked him, on behalf of the <br />Council and City residents, for the numerous wood duck houses he has <br />installed in Arden Hills parks and open spaces. <br /> <br />Presentation of Trophy, Arden Hills Express Soccer Team, Rochester Champions. <br />Ken Froslid <br />Ken Fros1id reported that the Arden Hills Express Soccer Team had won the <br />1985 Rochester Soccer Tournament. Froslid presented a Rochester Tournament <br />trophy to Mayor Woodburn in appreciation of the City!s support of the <br />Express Soccer Team, as well as three girls' soccer teams and an adult men's <br />soccer team. <br /> <br />Woodburn accepted the trophy on behalf of the Council. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY JAMES LYNDEN <br /> <br />Special Use Permit - Satellite Receiving/Transmitting Dishes, Northwestern <br />ColleRe <br />Council was referred to Lynden's letter of 6/21/85, and attached draft of <br />Special Use Permit - Case No. 85-4. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve Special Use Permit - <br />Case No. 85-4, as drafted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />
