'It <br />-Y11��HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025-071 <br />Attachment A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MCES) <br />2026 PRIVATE PROPERTY INFLOW AND INFILTRATION GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, through efforts coordinated with the Metropolitan Cities Association and the <br />Metropolitan Council, the 2023 Minnesota Legislature authorized any city, township, or political <br />subdivision of the state to provide loans and grants to property owners to assist the owners in <br />financing the cost of abating inflow and infiltration on their property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) Division has <br />committed $1.5 million in funding to provide grants to private property owners to help with repairs <br />that will remove and prevent clear water from entering the wastewater treatment system; and <br />WHEREAS, MCES convened a task force to define processes, guidelines and schedules <br />for the grant program; and <br />WHEREAS, MCES has identified the City of Arden Hills as one of many metro cities <br />having an excessive amount clear water inflow and infiltration into the sanitary sewer system; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is willing to faithfully administer all terms of the <br />grant for the benefit of its property owners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that the City of Arden Hills will submit application to the Metropolitan Council <br />Environmental Services for its 2026 Private Property Inflow and Infiltration Grant Program; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, or their <br />successor or assignee, will act as the City's designated authorized representative and point of <br />contact for this Grant Program. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS loth <br />DAY OF NOVEMBER 2025. <br />David Grant, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br />To view the final document, access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting <br />cityofardenhills. org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br />
