Emergency Operations Plan <br /> Stan dine: Ooeratine: Procedure Mayor <br /> In the City of Ardcn Hills, the Mayor is responsible for providing overall direction and control of City <br /> Government resources involved in the response to a disaster. If the Mayor is not available, the <br /> succession of Acting Mayor and City Council members by seniority will be followed. The City <br /> Emergcncy Management Director will serve in a Staff capacity to the Mayor, and will coordinate all <br /> aspects of this plan. The City Emergency Management Director will also serve as a liaison with the <br /> Ramsey County Emergency Management Director. <br /> MAYOR'S CHECKLIST <br /> 1. Verify warning system operation <br /> 2. Obtain briefing of status of emergency condition <br /> 3. Make contact with Lake Johanna Fire Chief and Sheriff as appropriate <br /> 4. Conduct tour of disaster site, as appropriate <br />. 5. Prepare initial estimate of damage (no PIO release) <br /> 6. Make decision on declaration of emergency <br /> 7. Make contact with County Emergency Services as appropriate <br /> 8. Make contact with Governor or State EOC as appropriate <br /> 9. Prepare formal press release <br /> 10. Prepare public information releases <br /> 11 . Review emergency situation for needed actions <br />. <br /> 16 <br />
