<br />... <br />Planning Commission and Economic Develol)ment Committee <br />The Staff has provided both the Planning Commission and the Economic Development . <br />Committee with general information on Unisource's proposal. Generally, both were very <br />supportive of pursuing Unisource as a tenant in the GBD. The Planning Commission, from a <br />procedural aspect, seemed to favor the use of a Planned Unit Development versus modification <br />of the Zoning Ordinance to deal with the proposed use. They also were very interested on the <br />aesthetics of the structure, so as that it would not detract or inhibit the development of an Office <br />user(s) on the remaining portiones) of the GBD, The Economic Development Committee, from a <br />marketing perspective, favored this user so as to show some development activity in the GBD <br />and to generate funds which could be used to facilitate other improvements or developments <br />within the district. <br />Recommendation <br />None.
