Agenda Items a. Public Hearing - 1996 Street Proiect The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #96,13, ordering the improvement and preparation of plans and specifications in the matter of the 1996 Street ~ Improvement Project. Residents abutting all streets identified as part of Alternate 2 in the Feasibility Report, with the addition of Eide Circle, were notified of the Public Hearing, Alternate I residents received notification from Staff that their streets were being removed from consideration in 1996. =- The City and MSA have received several phone calls regarding the proposed project. Most of these callers had questions regarding the proposed Project, but I did not necessarily voice opposition to the Project. However, the Council will find attached a Petition from the residents abutting Oak A venue, These residents I oppose the Project for the reasons identified in the Resolution, b. Public Hearing - EDA I The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #96-08, enabling the establishment of an Economic Development Authority, The City Council reviewed this item at its December, 1995 Council Worksession. Development Attorney, Bob Deike, I will be in attendance to assist with any questions the Councilor public may have in regards to this topic. It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council initially serve as the Commissioners of the EDA. I c. Approval of Minutes The City Council is asked to adopt the Minutes of the January 8, 1996, Regular I Council and January 16, 1996, Council Worksession Meetings. The December 26, 1995, Meeting Minutes still have some necessary corrections and should be available for Council action on February 12, 1996, I I" I
