As you are aware, the bid opening was held on Friday, <br /> April 26, 1996 at 11:30 a.m. and the City received four bids, The engineer's estimate for the <br /> project was $380,000 and the bids ranged from a low bid of $379,973.43 (as proposed by <br />I T.A. Schifsky) to a high bid of $434,008.05 (as proposed by Ashbach Construction), a relative <br /> spread of approximately $54,000. This resulting low bid was approximately $9,000 higher <br /> than the reviSed feasibility estimate of $371,000 (a 2.4% increase). <br />I Based upon these bids, resolution 96.27 was prepared for the Council's consideration to <br /> initiate the Assessment Hearing process. This resolution authorizes MSA to proceed with the <br />I fmal preparation of the proposed assessmem roll and establishes the proposed amOunt to be <br /> assessed as part of this project at approximately $250,800. Additionally, the resolution orders <br /> the assessment hearing to be held on May 2B, 1996. <br />..
