I.' ..
.
I
~ MEMO
I To: Mr. Brian Fristinger
From: Greg Stonehous~
I Subject: Resolution 96-37
Date: June 4, 1996
I Attached is Resolution 96-37 addressing the need to disestablish and establish Municipal State
Aid Streets as a result of the jurisdiction transfer with Ramsey County as outlined in Resolution
96-33.
I Resolution 96-37 establishes North Hamline Avenue from Hamline Avenue to Ingerson Road;
I and, Ingerson Road, from North Hamline Avenue to Lexington Avenue, as Municipal State Aid
Streets within the City of Arden Hills.
I In addition, the Resolution disestablishes HamIine A venue from County Road F to Ramsey
County Highway 96 as a City of Arden Hills Municipal State Aid Street. The net difference in
MSAS designation as a result of this action is a gain of 0.32 undesignated miles in addition to
Ie approximately 0.83 miles gained in tumback miles from the County. This, combined with
approximately 0.64 miles ofundesignated MSAS mileage from 1995, results in approximately
1.79 miles ofMSAS roadway to be designated by the City in 1996.
I It is our recommendation that Resolution 96-37 be adopted by the Council and that the
designation of additional MSAS mileage within the City of Arden Hills be accomplished during
I the fall of 1996, at which time the City's engineer and staff expect to have more information
regarding the City's projected Pavement Management Program improvements over the next
several years.
I I will be present at your June 10, 1996 City Council meeting to address any questions you or the
I City Council may have regarding this issue.
I
I
I
f'
I
