<br />I' <br />~ MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> WORKSESSION <br /> JUNE 17, 1996 <br /> 4:30 P.M. - PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE LUNCHROOM <br />I CALL TO ORDERfROLL CALI. <br />I Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Dennis Probst called to order the City Council <br /> Worksession at 4:35 p.m. Present: Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Dale Hicks and Paul <br /> Malone; City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; Public Works Superintendent, Dwayne Stafford; <br />I and Community Development Director, Kevin Ringwald. Councilmember Susan Keirn arrived <br /> at 5:00 p.m. <br />I Miscellaneous <br /> a. Joint Ice Arena <br />I Mayor Probst briefly updated the Council in regards to the discussions involving the <br /> proposed joint ice arena in Blaine. The Council did not express an interest in attending <br />I the joint meeting scheduled for later in the evening. <br /> Roundtable Discussion <br />.. a. Committee Renorts/Council Comments <br /> Councilmember Malone discussed recent actions taken by the Planning Commission and <br />I expressed concern about lack of decision making. Staff was directed by Council to <br /> discuss this issue with the Chair and Vice Chair of the Commission. <br />I Mayor Probst commented on the donation received from Bethel College intended for the <br /> Perry Park project. Council concurred these funds should be used to assist with the <br /> playground structure. <br />I Administrator Fritsinger reviewed the recent discussions held by the Human Rights <br /> Committee. The Council debated the merits of a task force versus committee <br />I arrangement. <br />I Other issues raised by Council included the following: <br /> staff review County CIP for County Road F turnback and Stowe A venue costs for the <br /> . <br />I City of New Brighton <br /> . staff review raised manhole on Gramsie Road <br /> . staff review fence located on east side of Ashbach property for conformance with City <br />I Code requirements <br /> . staff review second home on County Road E, east of Pascal Avenue, for problems <br />it with swimming pool <br /> . staff review building permits for construction taking place at home on comer of <br /> County Road E and New Brighton Road. <br />I <br /> -- <br />
