Adopting: Final Assessment Roll (8 Years Amortization) For _. <br />Parcels 3 and 11 . <br />MOTION: Aplikowski moved and Keim seconded a motion to adopt Resolution No. 96-36a, I <br /> Adopting Final Assessment Roll (8 Years Amortization) For Parcels 3 and 11. <br /> The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS . <br />Mr. Fritsinger noted the County Road F construction project and concern about the slow pace by I <br />Midwest Asphalt to complete the long punch list. He advised staff has discussed this issue and <br />recommended the Council consider imposing a $450 per day penalty for not completing this <br />work by July 1st. It was noted this is a contractual requirement. Council consensus was reached I <br />to direct staff to so inform Midwest Asphalt. <br />Mr. Fritsinger commented on the need to encourage Ramsey County to place the Tony Schmidt I <br />Park on their CIP priority list. He explained there have been some changes in Ramsey County <br />park funding and suggested the City encourage them to move the Tony Schmidt Park to the top <br />of their list by having Mayor Probst forward a letter to the County Commissioners to make this . <br />request for 1997. Mr Fritsinger also suggested the City hold a neighborhood meeting later this <br />fall (as Ramsey County approaches their budget process) to gather more support for that action. <br />Mayor Probst stated his concurrence with Mr. Fritsinger's suggestion and intention to send .. <br />Ramsey County a letter congratulating them for funding other projects and encouraging them to I <br />now consider the Tony Schmidt Park. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS I <br />Council member Keim advised that due to another commitment, she will be unable to attend the <br />June 12, 1996, Human Rights Commission meeting. I <br />Council member Keim commented on the Perry Park opening and added it was a wonderful time. <br />Mayor Probst indicated he was disappointed at the limited press coverage of this park opening, I <br />especially considering the large announcement of this event. Councilmember Aplikowski <br />explained the Park and Recreation Committee is hoping to hold an opening each year at a <br />different park. . <br />Councilmember Aplikowski updated the Council regarding the newsletter articles. She advised I <br />she is planning to go to Rochester and that this event is well attended by Fridley representatives <br />so she hopes to be joined by others from Arden Hills. <br />Mayor Probst inquired regarding the County Road F punch list items and expressed similar I <br />concerns with the Stowe Avenue project which is not completed. Mr. Stonehouse explained <br />about one-half of the punch list is completed and staff is talking with the contractor on a weekly .. <br /> I <br />---- -------- <br />
