<br />I' . <br /> I"" <br />I (H.' ,~~ <br /> -., .~: <br /> ;; <br /> . <br />~ ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNC;IL - JUNE 24. 1996 13 <br /> ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br />I Mr. Fritsinger informed the CO,uncil that a meeting has been scheduled on June 27, 1996, <br />I regarding the proposed quad ice arena in Blaine. He requested the Council's input and comments <br /> regarding this proposal prior to that meeting date. Mayor Probst suggested the area of the <br /> proforma needs to be more exact and fine-tuned. <br />I Councilmember Malone commented on the large downpayment and upfront cash contributions <br /> being expected and explained that because of the per ice sheet and operating costs, there are <br />I insufficient funds to cover the debt service. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger explained the down payment was not discussed because it is anticipated there will <br />I be a subagreement with local hockey associations to contribute those funds. Councilmember <br /> Malone stated he does not support the quad arena proposal at this time. <br />I COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />.. Councilmember Malone updated the Council regarding AMM's position statement on <br /> development beyond the MUSA line. <br />I Mayor Probst commented on a Fence Ordinance difficulty which needs to be resolved regarding <br /> the 30% opening for air flow issue. He stated this issue warrants some discussion regarding the <br /> intended purpose and how it can be measured. <br />I Mayor Probst announced he is not able to attend the Land 0' Lakes 75th Anniversary <br /> Celebration on July 11, 1996, but Councilmember Aplikowski has agreed to attend and will <br />I speak on the City's behalf. <br /> Mayor Probst advised that Congressmen Vento is holding several town meetings and TCAAP <br />I may be discussed. <br /> Mayor Probst reported he received information from the Minnesota Department of Health <br />I regarding Special Well Construction areas which encompasses a portion of Arden Hills. <br />I Mayor Probst announced that AMM has scheduled a breakfast meeting on July 10, 1996. He <br /> stated he is unable to attend and encouraged anyone else who is interested to attend. <br />I <br />,. <br />I <br />
