Approval of Minutes <br /> The Council is asked to adopt the minutes of the June 10, 1996 and June 24,1996 Regular <br /> Council meetings. <br />I 2. Consent Calendar <br />I a. Claims and Payroll <br /> The Council is asked to approve claims and payroll for the period most recently ended in <br /> the amount of$129,246.21. The Council may note payment in the amount of <br />Ie $47,023.00 to MCES for July sewer charges and $47,043.00 to Ramsey County for July <br /> law enforcement services. <br />I 3. Unfinished and New Business <br />I a. Planning Case #96-05. CDC <br /> The Planning Commission has recommended approval of Planning Case #96-05 as <br /> discussed in the staffreport. See the updated memorandum from Mr. Ringwald. Staff <br />I and Attorney Filla have met with representatives of Control Data and have agreed to <br /> park dedication. It will consist of a long-term lease/easement and land dedication. <br />I b. Metropolitan Council Growth Options <br /> Several members of the Council have expressed interest in the Metropolitan Council's <br /> discussions regarding the growth options for the Twin Cities. Staff has attempted to <br />I prepare some background on this issue and a resolution supporting one of those options. <br /> c. Oak Avenue SanitarY Sewer Iml)rovement <br />I The City contacted three firms for quotes to repair the sanitary sewer line on Oak <br /> Avenue. Two firms provided quotes to complete the repairs. Both firms use a slightly <br />I different technology to repair the sewer lines. After reviewing the quotes and studying <br /> the techniques suggested, Mr. Stafford and Mr. Stonehouse agree that Buchen <br /> Environmental Services, Inc. should be recommended for selection to perform this work. <br />,. The total cost is $17,535 and would be paid for out of maintenance funds. <br />I <br /> i <br />
