Expenditure of the <br /> ALHOA is required of communities that want to compete for access to over $11.0 million available <br />I annually through the LCA's three funding accounts The ALHOA is derived from the fonnula prescribed <br /> in the law involving market value, tax capacity, and tax rates provided to the Metropolitan Council <br /> annually by the county assessor, <br />.. ' There are a number of sources of local finaneia! contribution that can be counted as an ALHOA <br /> expenditure. Some examples include -local fir,an~ial c0ntributions to housing assistance, deyelvpmont o. <br />I rehabilitation programs, the use of CDBG 'monies for housing activ:!ics or a tax Icvy to SI.;pport a local or <br /> county HRA, <br />I The 1997 ALHOA for your community is the amount found in the shaded column on the enclosed ALI-IOA <br /> notification, <br />I As required by law, beginning in 1998, the Metropolitan Council mllst annually determine whether <br /> participating communities have eXFnded this ALHOA during the previous calendar year.
