This is the City of Arden Hills' resolution receiving the preliminary report and ordering the public hearing for next year's street improvements project. We have incorporated the issues and comments provided by I staff following our discussions of the draft report. As you are also aware, there has been discussion over recent months to consider the addition of Colleen A venue to the City's municipal state aid streets system, However, upon review of the MSAS requirements and subsequent I meetings with State Aid officials, the segment does not qualify for state aid designation due to the 90 degree turn at the intersection with McClung Drive. I The attached report addresses the reconstruction, bituminous reclamation, bituminous overlay, and seal coat of several streets throughout the City. The total estimated cost of the project is I. approximately $709,000 which is considerably higher than previous years' street projects completed without the assistance ofMSAS dollars. As indicated in the attached resolution and the project feasibility report, a public informational I meeting is scheduled for December 3,1996 with the formal public hearing to be held on December 9, 1996, I If the City Council approves of the attached information, it would be appropriate to adopt Resolution 96-62, receiving the preliminary report and calling the public hearing to be held I on December 9, 1996. I will be present at the November 12, 1996 City Council meeting to address any questions the I Council may have related to the project.
