This cost increase was calculated as follows: Service 1996 Cost 1997 Cost I Price per call $49.50 $50.00 ~ Animal boarding per day $96.00 ($9.60 for 10 days) $100.00 ($10.00 for 10 days) Cat disposal $18.00 $19.00 I Total $163.50 $169.00 (3.34%) The City provides a specific allocation for this account (10 1- 42100 - 3150) in its annual budget I ($7,000 in 1996 and $5,500 in 1997). The Staff has worked closely with ACSI to ensure compliance with this allocation in 1996. The contractor has expended $4,429.78 of the budget I through December 12, 1996, as compared to $5,237.88 through December 12, 1995. It is the Staff's intent to continue to maintain tight fIscal control over this contract. I Lastly, the contract contains a reduction in the length of time required to cancel the contract. Paragraph 15 has been modified trom the 1996 contract by requiring a 30 day notice rather than a I 60 day notice for cancellation of services.
