The following <br /> regulations shall apply to the surface use of <br /> Lake Josephine: <br /> A. The definitions contained in Minnesota <br /> Statutes 866.005 are hereby incorporated as <br /> a pari of this regulation. <br /> B. MotOfboat speed on lake Josephine shall <br /> not EOO:l8ed 40 mph. which speed shall be in <br /> effect 24 hours per day. <br /> C. No person shall operate a motorboat or <br /> be towed on water skis or on a similar device <br /> al a greater than slow no wake speed within <br /> 150 teet 01 the shoreline 01 Lake Josephine. <br /> Launching or landing a skier bV the most <br /> direct route to open water shall be exempt <br /> from this regulation. <br /> D. Motorboats shall only travel in a counter- <br /> clockwise direction except wtlen operating at <br /> a slow-no wake speed. <br /> E. Persons operating a motorboat, and thOse <br /> being towed on water skis or a similar deVlc8 <br /> shall, at all times, maintain an adequate <br /> distance (considering speed and conditkmS) <br /> from other watercraft, swimmers, swim rafts, <br /> and docks, so as to avoid an accident. Whet1 <br /> a swimmer is-present. motOlboals or persons . <br /> being lowed on water skis or a similar deviCe, <br /> shall not pass between a swim rail and th~ <br /> nearest shoreline. <br /> F. The following parties are exempt from <br /> compliance with the abo'iEl regulations: <br /> 1. Authorized resource management, <br /> emergency and enforcement personnel wheh <br /> acting in the performance of their duties. <br /> 2. Parties participating in special event's <br /> as authorized by the City Council and the <br /> Rs"msey County Sheriit's Department <br /> pursuant to an approved permit. <br /> G. Primary enforcement of this section shall <br /> be the responsibility of the Ramsey County <br /> Sheriff's Department. This, how9\ler, shall not <br /> preclude enforcement by other licensed <br /> Peace Officers. . <br /> Effa.ctlV8 Dat8.
