COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE SUMMARY <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 307 <br /> "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO MEDlAONE TO <br /> CONSTRUCT, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM <br /> IN THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS; <br /> SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS ACCOMPANYING THE GRANT <br /> OF THE FRANCHISE." <br /> On the 29'h day of June, 1998, the Arden Hills City Council adopted Ordinance No. 307, and <br /> pursuant to local and Minnesota State law by five affirmative votes, directed that a summary of <br /> the ordinance be published in the City's Official Newspaper, and that a printed copy of <br /> Ordinance No. 307 be posted on the City's bulletin board and otherwise be made available for <br /> inspection by any person during regular business hours at the office of the City Administrator at <br /> 4364 West Round Lake Road, Arden Hills, MN 55112. <br /> STATEMENT OF INTENT AND PURPOSE <br />. The City intends, by the adoption of this Franchise, to bring about the further development of a <br /> Cable System, and the continued operation of it. Adoption of this Franchise is, in the judgement <br /> of the Council, in tbe best interests of the City and its residents. <br /> FINDINGS <br /> The City Council makes the following findings: <br /> 1. The company technical ability, financial condition, legal qualifications, and <br /> character were considered and approved; <br /> 2. The company plans for constructing, upgrading, and operating the System were <br /> considered and found adequate and feasible; <br /> 3. The Franchise complies with applicable laws and regulations; and <br /> 4. The Franchise is nonexclusive. <br /> SECTION 1. <br /> SHORT TITLE AND DEFINITIONS <br /> This Section names the Franchise Ordinance as the Cable Franchise Ordinance and contains <br /> many definitions regarding the Cable System. <br />. <br /> - .--.-- ~ - - ~ -~- <br />
