<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (3) Handicapped persons may keep monkeys trained as personal <br /> helpers by Special Use Permit subject to annual review. <br /> <br /> (4) The raising of wild animals for pelts may be permitted by <br /> Special Use Permit, the applicant shall provide the City with <br /> proof of insurance including public liability insurance with <br /> limits of not less than one hundred thousand doliars <br /> ($100,000.00). The insurance shall provide coverage for <br /> liability resulting from the ownership or possession of the <br /> specific animal or animals being permitted. <br /> <br /> <br /> SEC. 5. 5-42 . IMPOUNDING OF WILD AN9,1-GR Evr ~'_'T ANIMALS. <br /> Any wild eif- exetT animal kept in violation of this ordinance may <br /> be impounded by the City. Unless such impounded animal is <br /> reclaimed and removed from the City, or issued a permit to allow it <br /> to remain in the City, or unless the owner petitions the District <br /> Court for a determination that the animal is exempt from the <br /> provisions of this ordinance, the animal may be destroyed or sold <br /> five (5) days following notice to the owner of such animal of its <br /> impoundment and the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Any person reclaiming any such wild animal shall pay the costs of <br /> impounding and boarding the same at the time of its release. <br /> <br /> SEC. 5. 5-43 . EXISTING WILD ^T' nvnm-rn pNIMALS. <br /> Anyone keeping or maintaining any wild _=_=`--e animal at the time <br /> this ordinance is adopted has ninety (90) days in which to comply <br /> with the provisions of this ordinance. Extensions beyond ninety <br /> (90) day may be granted by the City Council for good cause, but in <br /> no case shall such extension permanently exempt a person from the <br /> requirements of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ARTICLE 5. REGISTRATION <br /> <br /> <br /> SEC. 5.5-50. LICENSE REQUIRED; FORM. <br /> <br /> (a) Every owner of a domestic animal more than three (3) <br /> months of age shall cause such domestic animal to be registered, <br /> numbered, described and licensed through the office of the City <br /> Administrator of the City. Such registration, numbering and <br /> licensing shall be for twe (2) one (1) year for such dog while <br /> owned or kept by the same person while living at the same address. <br />
