<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Council Worksession, 8-28-89 <br />P~ge 3 <br /> <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />SHERIFFS CONTRACT <br /> <br />Council questioned if Arden Hills contract costs will be <br />increased in 1990 due to other contract cities <br />terminating the police services contract. <br /> <br />Berger advised the City of Lauderdale recently terminated their contract with the <br />Ramsey County Sheriffs Department and Falcon Heights is considering other <br />alternatives; stated there will be a cost increase for Arden Hills in 1990. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone suggested the Public Safety/Works Committee study <br />alternatives for contracting police services for the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />PARK PATHWAY <br />IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone questioned if the park path <br />improvement at intersection of Norma Avenue and <br />Briarknoll Drive is being constructed on the City <br />easement. <br /> <br />Mahowald advised the improvement is being constructed as part of the City <br />trailway development. <br /> <br />STATUS REPORT; <br />KEM MILLING <br /> <br />Mayor Sather reported on the status of the negotiations <br />with Kern Milling representatives for purchase of the <br />rendering plant. <br /> <br />STATUS REPORT; <br /> <br />Mayor Sather reported on the status of the odor problem <br />on Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Sather, that the meeting be <br />adjourned at 8:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
