Building 116 – Overview <br />TGRS was established to treat groundwater in 1989 <br />The BGRS captures groundwater contaminated with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at the southwestern boundary of the RCC site <br />BGRS extraction wells along the southwestern property line send water through a network of pipes to Building 116, which houses the groundwater treatment system – air strippers at bldg. 116 remove the VOCs from the water <br />Treated water is then piped and discharged to a gravel pit to the east of RCC located on the Arden Hills Army Training Site (AHATS)
