CONSENT ITEM - 8I <br />'It <br />-fi DEN_ HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 8, 2025 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: 2026 Tobacco License Renewals <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motion to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Approving the 2026 tobacco license renewals as listed below. <br />Background <br />The following five businesses are seeking renewal of their City tobacco licenses for 2026 and each <br />have satisfactorily passed a background check conducted by the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department: <br />• Holiday (Brausen) <br />• Cub Foods <br />• Cub Discount Liquor <br />• Holiday (Hwy 96) <br />• Walgreens <br />Final issuance and release of the above tobacco licenses is contingent upon satisfactory fire <br />inspections by the Fire Marshal, but no issues are expected. <br />Please note that in 2024 the City Council capped the number of tobacco licenses at six, which leaves <br />one license available for a new applicant. <br />Page l of 1 <br />
