CONSENT ITEM - 8G <br />-ARzEEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 8, 2025 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: 2026 Fee Schedule <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motion to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />Adopting Ordinance 2025-005 Approving the 2026 Fee Schedule and Authorizing <br />Publication of a Summary Ordinance. <br />A Summary Ordinance requires a 415 vote. <br />Back2round/Discussion <br />A draft proposed 2026 Fee Schedule was discussed by the City Council at its work session on <br />November 10, 2025. In addition to consensus to move forward with the proposed revisions presented <br />at the work session, Council also directed staff to make the following revisions: <br />• For the lifetime dog/cat license, update Bethel Student to indicate College Student <br />• Update usage of the acronym "TCAAP" to reflect Rice Creek Commons and the associated <br />water availability fee and sewer availability fee should reference "per unit" <br />Staff is also requesting approval of additional minor updates to the following sections based on <br />information obtained subsequent to the November 10 work session: <br />VII Public Works/Engineering <br />o Right -of -Way Permit — Excavation <br />■ Increase the proposed charge per linear foot to $.55 (was originally proposed <br />to be $.20) <br />o Update Amounts for Operator Rates (Billable rates for City Equipment and Labor) <br />■ This section did not have the amounts included as they had not yet been <br />determined in November <br />• VIII Utility Hookup Charges <br />o Update originally proposed changes to reflect fees for the 3/4", 1" and greater than 1" <br />water meters <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
