<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-47 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has considered the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />recommendations of a committee consisting of representatives from the Cities <br /> <br />of Shoreview, Arden Hills, and North Oaks, relating to the fire service and <br /> <br />fire equipment needs of the three cities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has determined that it would <br /> <br />be in the best interests of the City of Arden Hills to join with the Cities of <br /> <br />Shoreview and North Oaks to continue to jointly purchase fire protection <br /> <br />services; to purchase and maintain fire fighting equipment and facilities; <br /> <br />to establish a Joint Fire Protection Board; and to allocate the costs incurred <br /> <br />for fire protection service, equipment, and facilities in a reasonable manner <br /> <br />ell pursuant to the Joint Powers Agreement which is attached hereto. <br /> <br />NOW', THEREFORE, be it resolved that: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute <br /> <br />the Joint Powers Agreement attached hereto. <br /> <br />2. Council Member Charles Crichton is hereby appointed until December <br /> <br />31, 1976, as Ardeu Hills' representative on the Joint Fire <br /> <br />Protection Board created pursuant to the Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />attached hereto. <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 13th dE.y of September, 1976. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McNiesh <br />Clerk Administrator <br />
