<br />~' .,t;! <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7.1"-.51 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING VACATION OF PORTION <br />OF CONNELLY AVENUE PURSUANT TO SECTION <br />412.851 OF MINNESOTA STATUTES, AS AMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, <br />as amended, permits a municipal council to initiate a <br />proceeding to vacate any street, alley, public grounds, <br />public way, or any part thereof, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of <br />Arden Hills desires to determine whether it would be in <br />the public interest to vacate that portion of Connelly <br />Avenue (and the cul-de-sac at the end thereof) which runs <br />in a northwesterly direction from the west right-of-way <br />line of that portion of Connelly Avenue which intersects <br />with and is perpendicular to County Road E and in addition <br />to vacate a portion of the cul-de-sac at the end of that <br />portion of Connelly Avenue which runs in a southeasterly <br />direction from that portion thereof which intersects and <br />is perpendicular to County Road E, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City <br />Council of the City of Arden Hills, a quorum thereof being <br />present,/~h~~oceeding pursuant to Section 412.851 of <br />Minnesota Statutes, as amended, be and it hereby is <br />initiated in order to determine whether it would be in the <br />public interest to vacate those portions of Connelly Avenue <br />generally described in the second recital hereof. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer <br />be and he hereby is authorized and directed forthwith to <br />prepare the necessary legal descriptions of those portions <br />of Connelly Avenue which the City Council desires to <br />determine would be in the public interest to vacate. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator <br />and the City Attorney, after the City Attorney's receipt of <br />the aforesaid legal descriptions from the City Engineer, be <br />and they hereby are authorized to cause a notice of a public <br />hearing to determine the public interest in said vacation <br />to be published in the New Brighton Bulletin and to be posted <br />in at least three (3) of the most public places in the City, <br />for at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of said public <br />hearing, all in accordance with the provisions of Section <br />412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, as amended. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator <br />be and she hereby is authorized and directed to cause <br />certified copies of this Resolution to be served upon those <br />
