<br />7-- <br /> <br />- .._~~._" <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMS EY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-16 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO OPEN MEETiNGS OF PUBLIC <br />BODIES; AMENDING MINNESOTA STATUTES 1974, SEC- <br />TION 471.705, SUBDIVISIONS I, 2 AND BY ADDING <br />SUBDIVISIONS. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden HI lis supports the Intent of the open <br /> <br />meeting law which Is to have the public business conducted openly <br />so that the public can be Informed of the decisions and actions <br /> <br />bel ng taken, end <br /> <br />WHEREAS, nevertheless there are certain matters of a confidential <br />nature which may not be In the public interest at a particular <br />time to disclose publicly, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Attorney .Genera I has rendered an op I n I on wh tch appears <br />to be more restrictive than the legislature Intended. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />ARDEN HillS respectfully urges the Minnesota State legislature to <br /> <br />consider changes to the open meeting law which would provide for <br />amendments to the law as proposed In the draft legislation submitted <br /> <br />by the League of Minnesota Municipalities, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that caples of this resolution be transmitted <br /> <br />to the Governor of the State of Minnesota, Members of the State legls- <br /> <br />latura ar.d thQ Le~gwQ of MinnGsct~ Munic!D~!ftros. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Passed by the Counc!
