<br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~~ILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-40 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PURCHASE OF THE TWIN CITIES ARMY <br />AMMUNITION PLANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Army has declared 585 acres of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition <br />Plant property as excess and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Army has expressed interest in transferring this excess property to <br />the City of Arden Hills and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to direct and oversee the <br />development of this property and, <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, the City is intending to partner with a Master Developer for the <br />purchase and redevelopment of the property, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Council do hereby <br />approve the purchase of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant excess property for a base <br />price of $45 million dollars to be paid by said Master Developer, subject to an agreement of <br />an offer to purchase, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Arden Hills acknowledges the significant <br />support of Senator Nonn Coleman in the process that led to the agreement of the base value <br />in this purchase. <br /> <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />THIS 25th DAY OF JUL Y, 2006. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />,N~,~J:~ <br />Michelle Wolfe, CI Y AD INISTRATOR <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />\\Metro-inetus\ardenhills'Admin\Council\Resolulions\200G\06-40- 2006 Supporting purchase of TCAAP.doc <br />
