IS <br /> AMENDED TO ARDEN HILLS ORDINANCE 291 TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 6.C.2.d Covered Front Porches for Sin2lc-Familv Detached Dwellin2s. <br /> 1. In required front yard setbacks in the R-l: Single Family Residential and R-2: Single & <br /> Two Family Residential Districts, covered front porches ("Covered Porches") may <br />. extend into the required front setback on principal structures that existed prior to the <br /> adoption of this Ordinance subject to the following provisions: <br /> (a) The Covered Porch shall be set back from the front lot line no closer than the <br /> number of feet calculated by the following fonnula: <br /> Current principal structure setback in feet multiplied by .75 = Covered <br /> Porch setback from the front lot line in feet <br /> (For example, if the principal structure is 32 feet from the front lot <br /> line, then: <br /> 32 feet * .75 = 24 foot setback from the front lot line for the <br /> Covered Porch. In this case, the Covered Porch may extend up to 8 <br /> feet from the principal structure into the front setback) <br /> Principal structure setback is defined as: The setback from the front lot line to the <br /> front of the principal structure, not including overhangs, awnings. eaves. garages, <br /> stoops. sidewalks, bay windows, cantilevered areas, accessory structures, <br /> attached garages encroaching on the front setback, existing porches. or other <br /> extensions or projections not deemed part of the principal structure. <br />. <br />
