Walsh, Parks and Recreation ~ >l
SUBJECT: Tony Schmidt Park Task Force
I Background
I Ramsey County is in the process of forming a task force to provide input into the redevelopment
of Tony Schmidt Park. The County has asked the City to appoint two City commission members
and two residents of the community. Ramsey County Commissioner, Tony Betmett, has
I appointed Tom Mulcahy and Arnie Hochhalter to the Task Force.
Recommendation for Arden Hills Task Force Members
I The Parks and Recreation Commission would like to appoint Jim Johnson and Gregg Larson as
their representatives, Gregg Larson is a member of the Planning Commission, but would like to
serve as a City Commission representative.
Ie Ramsey County has also asked for two resident representatives. I am recommending David
Wold who lives at 1658 Lake Johanna Boulevard. Mr. Wold is a member of the Lake Johanna
I Homeowners Association and has a lot of experience working on community projects. The
second resident representative is Kristine Poelzer who lives at 1870 Indian Place. Ms. Poelzer is
a former Arden Hills Finance Committee member.
1 If the City Council concurs with these recommendations, it would be appropriate to appoint these
I four individuals to the Tony Schmidt Park Task Force.
I
I
1
1
..
I
