<br /> ------------ ---------- <br />.' <br /> City of Arden Hills Chapter 4 Animals and Pets <br />I <br />" 400.04 Citations and Impoundment. <br />I Subd. 1 Authority to Impound, Issue Citations. Any domestic animal found in violation <br />I of the provisions of this Chapter may be seized and impounded by any police officer or any <br />I animal control officer of the City; provided, however, that if the owner of the animal is <br /> known or can be ascertained from available information, it shall be returned to its owner and <br />I a citation for the violation shall be issued to the owner of the animal, unless otherwise <br />I provided in this Chapter. <br /> ~. <br />I Subd. 2 Place of Impoundment. Impoundment may be in an animal shelter, within or <br />.. without the city, as the Council from time to time may designate by resolution as the "City <br /> Pound. " <br />I <br />I Subd. 3 Notice to Owner. The owner of any domestic animal impounded under the <br />I provisions of this Subsection, if his or her identity and location can be obtained by reasonable <br /> means, shall be notified within twenty-four (24) hours that his or her domestic animal has <br />I been impounded. <br />I <br /> Subd. 4 Redemption by Owner. Any domestic animal impounded pursuant to the provisions <br />I of this Subsection may be redeemed from the pound by its owner within five (5) regular <br />I business days after the impoundment upon payment to the City Administrator of the <br />fI impoundment fee as is from time to time established by City Council resolution, plus, in the <br />I 4-7 <br />
