<br />City of Arden Hills I <br /> Chapter 4 Animals and Pets <br /> I <br />or for the portion of the calendar year following the date of the application, and shall be -- <br />nontransferable. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Section 430 Cats I <br />430.01 Nuisances. It shall be unlawful to own or possess any cat which destroys, damages, or I <br />defiles property; that creates an offense by way of noise, odor, or otherwise; or that molests other I <br />animals or human beings. Any cat that shall conduct any of this behavior shall be declared a <br />public nuisance. No violation shall be found to have occurred, however, until after the owner has I <br />been notified by the City of the cat's behavior. .. <br />430.02 Notice. Upon written complaint of a person stating that the acts committed by a cat, the I <br />name and address of the person owning the cat, and the name and address of the person making I <br />the complaint, the City shall notify the eat's owner of the acts complained of and instructing the I <br />owner to restrain the cat from committing any additional acts. <br /> I <br />430.03 Abatement. If a cat is found to constitute a nuisance under this Section, and no owner I <br />or other responsible party shall be ascertainable, the City may take whatever action is deemed <br />appropriate to abate the nuisance, provided that the cat shall not be destroyed except as provided I <br />in Section 400.
