The Arcview software allows a _- <br />user to integrate data from various sources and produce a map (ie., integrate parcel data, zoning <br />data, and land use data to produce a map that highlights all vacant parcels zoned R-I). The - <br />Windows NT 95 software is the current version of the Windows word processing software. - <br /> ... <br /> . <br />Software Cost <br />Arcview 3.0 software $1,200.00 . <br />Windows NT 95 NA* <br />Total $1,200.00** . <br />* Price of Windows NT 95 included in the purchase price of the hardware system <br />** Does not include applicable Minnesota sales tax I <br />The Staff would recommend the purchase of technical expertise (Phase I , Part 1) in an amount of I <br />$1,169.00. The City is working collaboratively through the North Metro I-35W Corridor <br />Coalition (Coalition) in arranging outside technical expertise in producing the attributes files <br />(ie., comprehensive plan, zoning, etc.,) for the City (Exhibit A). Phase I, Part 1 would provide . <br />the technical expertise to produce the parcel information, road names, zoning, comprehensive <br />plan designations, existing land use designations, and mapping of those elements. <br />The cost participation for the digital aerial photography which supports Phase I, Part 2 has not e. <br />yet been determined. Therefore, the Staff is not recommending the expenditure for that part of <br />Phase I at this time. The production of the Phase I, Part I activities will keep the cities of the . <br />Coalition busy for at least the next three months. It is anticipated that the cost participation, if <br />any, for the digital aerial photography will be finalized by the end of May of 1997, at which time <br />the Staff would be in a better position to make a recommendation to the City Council on these I <br />expenditures. <br />Lastly, as part of the North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition, the Cities are evaluating the I <br />potential of obtaining outside funding for future phases (ie., Phase II, III, etc.,). <br />Technical Expertise Cost . <br />Phase I, part I $1,690.00 I <br />Phase I, part 2 $1,475.00* <br />Total $1,690.00 I <br />'The Staff is not recommending approval of the Phase I, part 2 expenditure at this time. <br /> . <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
