The purpose of the inspection is to insure that each shipment meets the performance <br /> I and materials requirements. <br /> 4.6 A V AILABLE METER SIZES: The meters proposed must be available in a full product <br /> I line of sizes ranging from 5/S" to 12". <br /> 4.7 FIELD PROVEN: The proposed model must be field proven. <br /> I 4.8 MANUFACTURER'S STATEMENT: A manufacturer's statement of the composition <br /> I of the supplied materials shall accompany the proposal. All materials shall be new and <br /> unused. <br /> I 6. Warranties and Service for Cold Water Meters <br /> Ie 6.1 The contractor shall be required to provide a full manufacturer's warranty and/or <br /> guarantee policy with respect to each meter proposed. Specifications for Radio Frequency Solid State Portable Interrogator <br /> Reading Devices <br /> I 7.1 SYSTEM REOUIREMENTS: The hand-held device shall be a microcomputer based <br /> portable interrogator. The battery operated data collector must be designed for radio <br /> I frequency meter reads or manual reads if necessary. The unit must also contain a lithium <br /> backup battery to protect the data in memory should the primary battery fail. It shall also be <br /> capable of programming the meter reading storage device (transponder) on-site if desired. <br /> I The hand-held device shall be able to up-load and down-load meter readings to a P. C. <br /> computer tied to the Utility's billing system. The unit shall be equipped with a RS232C <br /> it communications port, a PCMCIA card, or any other appropriate interface for these purposes. <br /> It shall also record any special tampers which may have occurred between the reading <br /> I 5 <br />
