Gateway Business District. The Staff continues to work on the purchase and associated <br /> issues with the Naegele remnant strips and billboards in expected that a draft agreement I <br /> may be completed and forwarded to the City Council for your review the beginning of <br /> June. <br /> The negotiations on the sale of the City property are continuing with Welsh Companies. I <br /> Welsh Companies wishes to purchase the City's property in early July. The Stai'fis I <br /> continuing to work on the price of the property with Welsh Companies. At this time, it <br /> would appear that the Welsh Companies would pay the City enough cash to eliminate the <br /> outstanding debt on the Darling purchase. The Staff is working with Welsh Companies I <br /> such that they would take care of the City's wetland mitigation and storm water ponding <br /> requirements for the relocated road. The value of the land and construction cost of these <br /> items would be in addition to the cash payment and would place the overall value of the eI <br /> City parcel favorably with over parcels in the area which have recently sold. <br /> The Welsh Companies acquisition of the Zafke parcel has hit a temporary snag. The . <br /> "horse lady" (1 am sorry that I do not know her name) bas made an adverse possession <br /> claim on the Zafke parcel, based upon the fencing she has for her horses.
