City Admin.....'" ~ <br /> I FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Superintendent .\ . . <br /> I SUBJECT: Arden Hills Safety Manuals <br /> BacJqp-ound <br /> I The City of Arden Hills is required by state and federal laws to have a safety program in place to <br /> provide each employee with a safe working environment. The City is also required to provide <br /> proper safety training and the necessary safety equipment to each employee to make their jobs as <br /> I safe as possible. <br /> During a recent inspection of the City of Arden Hills facility the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> I Act (OSHA) consultant informed the Public Works Superintendent that the City of Arden Hills <br /> safety program was not in compliance with OSHA requirements. The information in the City <br /> -- program was only general and not specific to the City of Arden Hills. <br /> The Public Works Superintendent has reviewed safety information from many sources and has <br /> I put together the attached programs to comply with OSHA requirements. Programs will be <br /> updated as needed. <br /> I Recommendation <br /> The Public Works Superintendent recommends Council approve the four (4) safety programs <br /> attached.
