Summarize City Five (5) Year 1998 - 2002 CIP Plans by major functional area <br /> I (Administrative, Parks, Public Works). <br /> . Evaluate impact of recent legislative tax bill on City, including levy limits, propeny tax <br /> I class rate compression, and employer PERA expense, <br /> . Participate as a Fire Services Task Force member, <br /> . Work with City Administrator on Local Performance Aid (LP A) submission to <br /> I Department of Revenue, <br /> . Challenge Ramsey County Sheriff's Department to explore options to reduce proposed <br /> 3.71 % increase in 1998 Police Protection costs. <br /> Ie . Submit annual TlF reporting forms to Office of the State Auditor. <br /> .Jqlv Priority Projects <br /> I . Second Quarter (4/1/97 - 6/30/97) utility bills to be issued before July 18, 1997. An <br /> extraordinary level of final billing due to resident moves is being handled by staff. <br /> . Work with the City Administrator and other Department Heads to develop initial roll-up <br /> I of 1998 Budget. <br /> . Obtain bond rating for City and work with City's independent financial advisor to prepare <br /> I for possible bond issuance. <br /> Finance Committee Update <br /> . The Committee met on June 19, 1997 and again spent the majority of the time discussing <br /> I comparative assessment matters. The Committee hopes to be in a position to offer <br /> recommendations to Council at the August Worksession. <br /> I .
