In the RFP, I have required information <br /> about areas of expertise that staff thinks would be most essential for our community in the future. <br /> I Listed below are the engineering firms staff recommends we send the RFP to: <br /> Name of Firm Headquarters Location <br /> I Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, Inc. St. Paul, MN <br /> BRW, Inc. Minneapolis, MN <br /> Ie McCombs, Frank, Roos, Associates, Inc. Plymouth, MN <br /> Howard R. Green/MSA St. Paul, MN <br /> Orr, Schelen, Mayeron & Associates, Inc. Minneapolis; MN <br /> I Rieke, Carroll, Muller, Associates, Inc. Minnetonka, MN <br /> Schoell & Madsen, Inc. Minnetonka, MN <br /> SEH, Inc. Vadnais Heights, MN <br /> I Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson and Associates, Inc. St. Paul, MN <br /> I am aware of eighty-five (85) firms who provide civil engineering services, twenty-three (23) of. <br /> I whom are local and appear to do full-scale municipal engineering. As an alternate approach, the <br /> Council may wish to consider using a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), provided to each of <br /> these eighty-five (85) firms, to target a different group of short listed firms. <br /> I ~ <br /> I Should the Council find the draft RFP appropriate, staff would suggest the following schedule: <br /> .I:!m EmIl <br /> July 14, 1997 RFP approved by Council <br /> July 15, 1997 RFP mailed to engineering firms <br /> I August 15, 1997 Deadline for submitting RFP <br /> August 18, 1997 Council makes decision on review process for <br /> selection of engineer <br /> I August 19 - <br /> September 5, 1997 Applications reviewed/interviews <br /> September 8, 1997 City Council selects engineering firm <br /> it September 29, 1997 Contract prepared for Council consideration <br /> November 1, 1997 Contract effective date <br /> I <br />
