Approval of Minutes I The Council is asked to approve the Minutes of the June 30, 1997 Regu[ar Council meeting. I 2. Consent Calendar a. Claims and Payroll I The Council is asked to approve claims in the amount of$243,032.76, and payroll . for the period most recently ended. The Council should note payment to MCES in the amount of $48,322 for July sewer charges; Carlson Equipment Company in Ie the amount of$12,187.86 for Wacker Roller; Earl F. Anderson, Inc. in the amount of $18,559.50 for Hazelnut Play Structure; and Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $80,500 for 1997 contract fees. I b. Res. #97-34. Red Fox Road and Snelling Avenue. "No Parking" Signs I The Public Safety Commission has recommended approval of "No Parking" signs near the former Zycad building on Red Fox Road. Staff has reviewed our records back to 1985, and cannot find any previous action addressing "No Parking" signs_ I in this area. . 3. Unfinished and New Business I a. Sewer Televisin~ Report Recommendations Howard R. Green has reviewed the recently completed televising of the sanitary I sewer system. The City is not being requested to take any formal action on the report at this meeting. The presentation is for information only. The Council will need to consider the "cost recovery period" as it considers the options related to I this project. b. 1997 Street Improvements (Vallev Pavinl!). Pay Estimate #1 I The City Council is asked to approve Pay Estimate #1 in the amount of $179,558.03 to Valley Paving for the 1997 Street Improvement Project. The Pay .. Estimate totals $199,508, including a 10% retainage. I ~
