MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 28, 1997 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works SuperintendeD <br /> SUBJECT: 1998 Street Improvement Project <br /> Attached is City of Arden Hills Resolution #97-43, regarding the 1998 Street Improvement <br /> Projects, This is a resolution receiving the preliminary report and stating that informational <br /> meetings and public bearings will be held at a later date for the 1998 Street Improvement Project. <br /> The attached report addresses the reconstruction, bituminous overlay, and seal coating projocts <br /> identified for 1998 in the City of Arden Hills Five Year Street Improvement Plan. <br /> In addition to those streets, the two (2) streets dropped from the 1997 Street Improvement Plan <br /> are included: Harnline Avenue North, from County Road E to the dead end; and North Snelling <br /> Avenue from Arden Place, north to the cul-de-sac. Round Lake Road, south from Highway 96, <br /> and Stowe Avenue, between New Brighton Road and Cleveland Avenue, are also part of this <br /> . report. <br /> Costs <br /> The total estimated costs of all those improvements addressed in the report are $2,516,475,00, <br /> which is much higher than the City typically spends each year. The Public Works <br /> Superintendent realizes the final costs will be determined after Council receives input from <br /> informational meetings and public hearings, At this time, the exact scope of work will be <br /> determined. <br /> Recommendation <br />- The Public Works Superintendent recommends Council adopt resolution #97-43 receiving the <br /> Preliminary Report in the matter of the 1998 Street Improvement Project. <br />- <br />- <br />- <br />I <br />I- <br />I <br />
