<br />I <br />I CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />~ MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: October 17, 1997 <br />I TO: Brian Fritsingcr, City Administrator <br /> ~ <br />I FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Superintendent <br />I SUBJECT: Stop Sign Recommendation <br /> Backe-round <br />I A request was made by Public Works Employees to install a stop sign on Northwoods Drive at <br /> Red Fox Road in Arden Hills. Attached is a map of the area. Red Fox Road is a connection <br /> between Lexington Avenue and Highway 51 serving a commercial/industrial area with fairly <br />I heavy traffic during rush hours. Northwoods Drive is a dead end street serving three (3) or four <br /> (4) businesses. <br />I There has never been a stop sign at this location and Public Works Employees have witnessed <br /> several near collisions at this location. <br />Ie Recommendation <br /> The Public Safety Commission reviewed the request at their October 16, meeting and <br />I recommends Council consider and approve the installation of a stop sign on Northwoods Drive <br /> at Red Fox Road. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />it <br />I <br />
