CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: November 4,1997 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Terrance Post, City Accountant @ <br />- SUBJECT: 1997 Audit Engagement Letter <br /> The firm of Abdo, Abdo, Eick & Meyers (AAE & M) has submitted a proposal to perform audit <br />I services for the year ended December 31, 1997 for a fee of $7,995. This proposed fee represents <br /> a $195, or 2,5%, increase over the 1996 audit engagement of $7,800. Over the course of the last <br />- five years, staff has just about maximized the amount of client-prepared audit schedules it <br /> prepares for the auditors. Therefore, the audit scope performed by AAE & M is relatively fixed, <br />- and audit fees should just be subject to inflationary increases in the future, <br />I Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends that Council authorize staff to execute the audit engagement letter with Abdo, <br />I.
