<br /> ". <br /> I <br /> (3) work days duration; and submit a medical certificate stating the cause of the .. <br /> employee's absence if required by the City Administrator. <br /> An employee who is eligible to receive sick leave and who is eligible to receive Worker's <br /> Compensation payments shall be granted accrued sick leave pay only in the amount of I <br /> the difference between the employee's regular salary and the Worker's Compensation <br /> payments. An employee cannot receive more than their normal take home pay as a <br /> result of any City pay supplement to Worker's Compensation benefits. I <br /> The Council may, in its discretion, grant additional sick leave pay to an employee in the <br /> event the Council finds that extension of the normal sick leave allowance is justified I <br /> because of hardship to the employee. The Council shall determine the existence of the <br /> hardship, which determination shall be final. In addition to the particular hardship, the <br /> council shall consider the length of service of the employee, and emergency extensions I <br /> of the sick leave allowance shall not be granted unless the employee has been in the <br /> employ of the City at least one calendar year, whether part-time or full-time.
