Fail Musical Northwestem College's fall musical will be Gilbert and Sullivan's '''The Pirates of Penzance." I Perfonnances are October 23-26,30-31, and November 1-2, 1997. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday perfonnances are at 3: 00 p.m. in Maranatha Auditorium. I Tickets are $IO.OOor $8.00 for evening and $8.00 or $6.00 for matinee. Ticket office: 631-5151. Ramsey County Families can look forward once again to the annual Open House sponsored by the Ramsey County I Sheriff's Open House Sheriff's Patrol Division. The event will be held on Saturday, October 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the facility located at 655 West County Road E, Shoreview. Activities will include tours; crime prevention; water patrol; 911 displays; canine demonstrations; the investigative crime I van; and child fingerprinting. FestivaI of Christmas A Saturday afternoon perfonnance of Bethel College's "Festival of Christmas" has been added . due to popular demand. I Fight the Flu Skip the flu season by having a flu shot this year. Check with your provider for their inoculation schedule. Thanks Gardeners! A big thanks and kudos to those individuals who have planted and maintained the gateway flower . gardens. The gardens were beautiful and many out-of-town visitors commented on how nice Arden Hills looked this summer. Councilmember, Bev Aplikowski, stated that her commute this summer was definitely brighter because she was lucky enough to drive past two gateway gardens! . It is regrettable that soon the frost and snow will cover the flowers, but we look forward to seeing the gardens next spring. Ramsey County The next Citizens Academy, sponsored by the Community Affairs Officers Division of the Ramsey . Sheriff's Citizens County Sheriff's Department, is scheduled to start on Wednesday, October 22 and run for eight Academy consecutive Wednesdays. Graduation will be on December 10, 1997. The Citizens Academy I helps individuals in the suburbs become more aware of issues involved with crime prevention and public safety.
