Supporting the City of Arden Hills Taking the Lead Role in Designing a Concept <br /> Plan for a Multi-City Facility on the TCAAP Property. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (3-0). <br />1 C. Comprehensive Plan RFP's, Selection of Firm <br />I Mr. Fritsinger noted the City recently completed its review of proposals for the updating of the <br /> City's Comprehensive Plan. On Tuesday, November 18, 1997 the City interviewed the firms ofSRF <br /> Consulting Group and McCombs Frank Roos Associates for the position of consulting planner for <br />1 the Comprehensive Plan update. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger noted Staff recommends the appointment of McCombs Frank Roos Associates to <br />I conduct the City's Comprehensive Plan update and to direct Staff to prepare a contract for said <br /> update. <br />1 MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to appoint McCombs Frank Roos <br /> Associates to conduct the City of Arden Hills' Comprehensive Plan update and direct <br />I Staff to prepare a contract for said update. The motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> D. Personnel <br />Ie 1. 1998 Union Contract <br />I Mr. Fritsinger noted the existing Labor Agreement with the I.U.O.E. Local No. 49 expires on <br /> December 31,1997. The I.U.O.E. Local No. 49 represents the six members of the Public Works <br /> Department. <br />1 Mr. Fritsinger briefly reviewed the contract terms of a three-year contract; salary increase of three <br /> percent each year of the contract; insurance contribution increase of$IO per month each year of the <br />I contract; and inclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding relating to lunch breaks into the <br /> contract. <br />1 Councilmember Hicks inquired as to what were the current contributions for insurance. Mr. <br /> Fritsinger stated the current City contribution is $310 per month. <br />I MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to adopt the proposed three-year <br /> contract with the Local No. 49, including items detailed and subject to the execution <br />1 of the contract by the Local No. 49. The motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski inquired as to the memorandum regarding lunch breaks. Mr. Fritsinger <br />I explained it outlined how to determine whether workers should take lunch breaks at the job site <br /> versus returning to City Hall, depending on the distance and work project involved. <br />f' <br />I <br />
