Right -of -Way Use Permit <br />Dear [Name of Permittee Applicant] <br />The City of has received your inquiry or application for a <br />public right of way use permit. It is the City's understanding that the company desires to construct <br />a fiber optic cable communications system using the City's public rights -of -way to deliver data <br />and communications content (i.e. broadband internet) service to City residents and businesses. <br />Before constructing such a cable communications system, the company will need to obtain a cable <br />communications system franchise. The City has delegated authority to the North Suburban <br />Communications Commission ("NSCC") to negotiate and manage its franchises. Please contact <br />NSCC's Executive Director, Jeff Ongstad, to commence the franchising process.
