. ~ ~~HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 05-62 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS PARTICIPATION IN THE RAMSEY COUNTY ALL-HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey Division of Emergency Managemcnt and Homeland Security has participated in the all-hazard mitigation planning process as established under the Disaster Mitigation Act of2000, Pub. L. No. 106-390; and WHEREAS, the Act rcquires all counties and municipalities to develop, adopt and maintain all-hazard mitigation plans either independently or on a countywide, multi- jurisdictional basis; and WHEREAS, snch plans must be well integrated and coordinated to account for . the fact that hazards in one jurisdiction impact on othcr nearby jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the Act establishes a framework for the development of an all- hazard mitigation plan; and WHEREAS, the Act as part of the planning process requires public involvement and local coordination among neighboring local units of government and businesses; and WHEREAS, the plan must include a mitigation strategy including priorities, goals and strategies and an action plan identifying specific mitigation projects and timeframcs; and WHEREAS, the plan must include an implementation and maintenance process including plan updates, integration of the plan into other planning documents and how the County will maintain public participation and coordination; and WHEREAS, Ramsey County Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Sccurity has indicated its willingness to coordinate these efforts should the municipality so desire; and WHEREAS, the plan will be shared with all municipalities, the County Board of Commissioners and the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Division of . Homeland Security and Emergency Management for coordination; and
