<br />,,,", <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 04-19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A MINNESOTA <br />INVESTMENT FUND GRANT APPLICATION FOR GUIDANT CORPORATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Guidant Corporation is a prominent business located within the City of <br />Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Guidant has requested that the City apply for a Minnesota Investment Fund <br />Grant on their behalf to help finance certain machinery and equipment for their technology <br />intergration center in the amount of $250,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the grant application requires a public hearing prior to submitting an <br />application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public hearing was duly noticed and held on January 12, 2004, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Arden Hills (Applicant) will <br />act as the legal sponsor for the project(s) contained in the Business and Community Development <br />Application to be submitted on January 12, 2004 and that Mayor Beverly Aplikowski and City <br />Administrator Michelle Wolfe are hereby authorized to apply to the Department of Employment and <br />Economic Development for funding of this project on behalf ofthe City of Arden Hills, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Arden Hills has the legal authority to <br />apply for financial assistance, and the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure <br />adequate construction, operation, maintenance and replacement of the proposed project for its <br />design Ii fe, <br /> <br />BE rT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Arden Hills has not incurred any costs <br />and has not entered into any written agreements to purchase property, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Arden Hills has not violated any Federal, <br />State, or local laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, kiekbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other <br />unlawful or corrupt practice, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon approval of its application by the state, the City <br />of Arden Hills may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced <br />project(s), and the City of Arden Hills certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and <br />regulations as stated in all contract agreements and described on the Compliance Section (S-7) of <br />the Business and Community Development Application, <br />
