<br /> NEW BUSINESS – 5D <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: January 20, 2026 <br /> <br />TO: Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee <br /> <br />FROM: Jess Skalicky, Parks and Recreation Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Adopt a Park <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br />Give feedback on the proposed Adopt a Park Informational Packet. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills has a long history of strong citizen-led volunteer efforts that help keep <br />parks, trails, and natural areas clean, attractive, and well maintained. Some groups have formally <br />adopted parks, while others have contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to support park <br />stewardship. <br /> <br />The 2026 Strategic Plan calls for expanding and the Adopt-a-Park program. While the City has <br />previously had a formal adoption process, there is currently no standardized form or sign-up <br />procedure for individuals or groups to Adopt parks, trails, or natural spaces.
